What are Home Modifications?
Home Modifications are changes to your home that support your independence, mobility, and safety. These changes can be essential if your current home environment presents challenges to completing daily tasks.
Our team can help you with:
- Minor modifications such as handrails or ramps
- Bathroom modifications (e.g., walk-in showers, accessible toilets)
- Kitchen adjustments for easier access and use
- Widening doorways for wheelchair access
- Installation of lifts, stair climbers, or emergency alarms
- Navigating quotes, approvals, and coordination with NDIS and builders
We work in partnership with you, your Occupational Therapist, and licensed builders to make sure your modifications are both functional and compliant with NDIS and building standards.
📅 When & Where?
You may be eligible for Home Modifications if:
- You are an NDIS participant with a permanent disability
- You have a goal in your NDIS plan that relates to living more independently or safely at home
- Your current living space poses risks or limitations due to your disability
- An Occupational Therapist has assessed your needs and recommended modifications
