Who can access this support?
This support is available to NDIS participants aged 15 and above who have employment or education-related goals in their plan.
It’s ideal for participants who:
- Want to find or maintain employment
- Are navigating challenges at work or school
- Need additional support to build confidence and independence
- Are transitioning from school to further education or employment

This support is delivered under the Capacity Building Support Purpose and the following support categories:
Finding and Keeping a Job (Category 10)
- Registration Group: 0102 – Assistance to Access and Maintain Employment or Higher Education
- Support Item: 10_016_0102_5_3 – Employment Support
- Support Type: Capacity Building
- Claim Type: Hourly (price capped)
- Pricing: As per NDIS Price Guide 2024–25 – varies by time of day and location.
Improved Learning (Category 13) (if education-related goals apply)
- Support Item: 13_030_0102_4_3 – Transition Through School and to Further Education
In both cases, these services may also include:
- Activity-Based Transport: If transport is part of the support, it can be claimed under applicable support items with participant agreement.
- Provider Travel and Non-Face-to-Face Support: These may be claimable under NDIS rules when pre-agreed in the Service Agreement.
